Welcome to the Rhubarb-Rhubarb site, hosted by Seeing the Light, with twelve years experience in professional skills development for photographers, including creating international networks which profile opportunities for image makers at all levels of their practice.
This
year is a celebration of
Photography and International Trade - to mark the occasion of the Queen
liking Rhubarb and awarding our Creative Director, Rhonda Wilson, with
a gong. This happened shortly after Rhubarb won an Outstanding
Innovation Award for its website, again linking it with photographers
throughout the world. So we followed the theme and have, once again, a
year full of promise and some adventures with the
imagination. A
bit closer to home we have set up another company - Creative Alliance,
which mentors 30 artists every 12 weeks, supporting them to develop
promotional skills, find money for their projects, and consolidate the
interest of the growing community of photographers in the West
Midlands. The
website is full of opportunity, both from ourselves here at Rhubarb and
some other wonderful nuggets gleaned from our colleagues and partners
throughout the world. So we hope you enjoy Rhubarb, in all its
manifestations. In a world where the stakes are constantly becoming
higher, its a pleasure to be talking with people who share their
experience of the growing image markets, whether you are starting out
or out there in the international light.
So education has been our forte this year, but still with our latent desire to sell more images. So moving on with our plans for print sales. More to add to the alchemy of Seeing the Light - creating magic through the image
